Why'd we have to back here in the dark to find the 'magic' ball? How can you see in the dark? Turn on some lights - we'll never find the ball if we can't see."
"Stupid! We had to come back in the dark because we have to find that ball and we can't let anyone see us. If we turn on lights, someone will know we are here. Did you check the old man? Is he dead?"
"I think I can feel a pulse, but I'm not a nurse. What do I know?"
"Listen! Do hear a car in the driveway?"
"Someone's coming - quick out the back door, and keep on going 'til we reach the next street!"
Gordon Barton's health care worker, Barry, arrived for the evening and found the house dark and quiet.
"Hey Gordon! Why are the lights off? Gord? Where are you?"
Barry started to go into the kitchen, when he spotted Gordon Barton lying in a puddle of blood on the floor by his desk. Without even thinking, Barry rushed to the phone and dialed 9-1-1.
"Send an ambulance now! Barton house up on the hill - 10 Avalon Street."
Then Barry checked Gordon's pulse and tried to help as best he could until the ambulance arrived.

Chuck & Charlie - Part 5
As the kids came up to the gates of the Animal Park, they realized that it was almost closing time. They ran quickly to the gate, but the guard was not around. They started to walk toward buildings that looked like they might be offices.
"Hey, you kids! Where do you think you're going? Stop right there. Don't you realize this can be a dangerous place in the evening?"
"Sorry, sir. We were just wondering if the boss of the Park is here? We found a little monkey, and we thought he might belong here."
"Well, I guess you could say I'm the boss. "Curator is the title they give me. Let me see now. No, this monkey does not belong here. This little guy is a Capuchin monkey and obviously well looked after, and well trained. See his red coat? See how he plays with his ball? Someone is probably goig to be very sad when they find him gone."
"Gosh, I didn't think of him being lost. I thought he just escaped from here."
"I suggest you let the animal shelter, and maybe even the police, know that you have him. I'm sure someone will be very happy to know he is being well looked after."

Chuck & Charlie - Part 4
"What do you think Charlie? Shall we take the monkey and ride our bikes over to the Wild Animal Park on the other side of town? Or should we put up posters around here?"
"I'll see if it's okay with my Mom to go across town. I'll meet you back here by this big tree in ten minutes. You look after the monkey."
As Charlie pedalled toward her house, Chuck ran from the big tree in the City Park to the open back door of his house. He stopped in the doorway and called, "Mom, Mom, is it okay if I go over to the Wild Animal Park with Charlie?" He didn't mention the monkey sitting on his shoulder.
Chuck's Mom called back, "Sure, it's okay as long as Charlie's Mom says it's alright, and as long as you're home for dinner."
Chuck turned and raced through his back yard and into the City Park to the tree. When Charlie got there, she called to him, "Come on, Chuck, hop back on your bike, snap your helmet in place and let's go! Mom said I had to be back in one hour, so we don't have too much time."
The little monkey sat on Chuck's shoulder, chattering away and turning his sparkling ball, over and over in his hands. He was having a very good time. He'd never been on a bicycle before, and he loved the way the wind blew in his face."
