Forbidden Mountain - Part 20

"Oh dear. I'm sorry Arianna, I guess I got us lost again."

"Not to worry, Gisel. We just took the wrong turn back at the fork in the road. We'll re-trace our steps and take the other road."

"I don't know how anyone puts up with me. I just can't do anything right!"

"Of course you can. You figured out exactly what we had to do to find my father. We just haven't had a chance to get to the right path. We will, don't worry."

"I do believe you're right. We'll go right now."

"Oh, now look down in that valley. Isn't that your father and Miss Alia heading for that cave?"

"Why, yes it is. Let's go. Father, father, it's me. Wait for us!"

"They've disappeared into that cave. I guess he didn't hear you."

"Stand with your hands over your heads. Now!"

"What is the meaning of this? You can't just barge onto someone's private property, waving weapons around and expecting people to do what you ask."

"Yes, I can. Drop those whips!"

DMan activated the Ghazer and sent an arc to surround the whips and fling them across to the other side of the cave.

"Do as I ask and nobody will get hurt."

"What do you want with us? We are simple miners. We do not bother anyone."

Far in the back of the caves, DMan and Alia could hear yelling and a Ghazer being activated.

"Mother, mother, we are here!"

"Oh Alxx. I'm so happy to se you, but I'm so mad at you, I don't know what I'm going to do."

"Hand me that Ghazer, son. I'll just hold it for you."

"Thank you, DMan. Regulators, take these creatures into custody. Release all those prisoners. I do believe I see some of the missing Regulators back there. This will be an interesting interrogation - take them away!"

"Wait, Miss Alia. May I have a word with you?"

"Of course, Gari. First, we must look after these prisoners."

"That is exactly what I wish to speak to you about."

Forbidden Mountain - Part 19

"You awaken slowly, Alia."

"I'm sorry. I planned to rise with the sun, but it looks like I overslept. Believe me, I don't usually do that."

"I believe anything you say. Now, can we be off to look for the boys?"

"Wait, DMan. You must take a Ghazer. I'll show you how it works. It is a defense shield and must be used with care. We never set our Ghazers on high - that would kill someone. We always make sure that they are set at Stun or, at the very least, Minor-Micro. That delivers a nasty pinch that will leave a bruise, but doesn't harm anyone."

"I'd say it's time for my Ghazer lesson. But if we are dealing with marauders who would stoop to abducting children, we must use major force against them."

"Sorry, I cannot allow that. You must agree, before I put a Ghazer in your hands, that you will obey my instructions."

"You are right. I am a peace-loving man. I don't know what I was thinking!"

"It looks like it will turn into a lovely day today, doesn't it Gari?"

"Why, I do believe you could be right. I see the humans are just about to rescue their little ones. I'm sure the humans will deal with the Molerxx in good fashion, but I think I'll join them, must to make sure."

"I can't believe that the Molerxx are still up to their old tricks. We have tried for years to teach them the right and proper way to act, but they just don't listen."

"No, they don't listen at all. We will have to transport them to aother galaxy when this mess is over. The last time we caught them abducing humans, we told them they had to stop and we gave them one more chance. They blew it!"

"I guess the lure of big money for the silver is too much for them to resist."

"How long have I been asleep, Alxx?"

"I don't know. There's a lot of noise out there in that cave."

"Have you got the Ghazer ready?"

"Yes, the Ghazer's ready. I've got my ore ready. Are you with me, Mykk?"

"Absolutely. Forward!"

"Now Arianna, do not be upset. Your father and Miss Alia have gone in search of your friends, Alxx and Mykk. I'm sure they will find them shortly and everyone will be back in time for breakfast."

"I can't wait. I have to go and see what is happening. I must go and see if I can help in some way."

"If you must go, take Gisel with you. He is not much help, but at least he can fly back here if you get into trouble."

"Thank you, Gari. Come on Gisel - let's take this transporter. You can fly along side of me or can sit on the seat with me - your choice!"

"Wow. I've watched these fly before - from afar. Did it take you long to learn all about this thing? I wish I was smart enough to learn. Never mind; I would love to ride with you, Arianna."

"I'm really not supposed to be using a transporter - I'm too young. I have to do this for my father. I hope you're okay with that, Gisel. Which way should we go?"

"You are asking me for an opinion? Oh, my dear, nobody has asked me for anything for so long. I'll just have to think about this for a bit. Let me see... We are looking for two boys who went missing last evening? We are looking for your father and Miss Alia who left to search for the two boys? Is that all?"

"Yes, that's basically it."

"Well then, first we have to find which way the boys went. Then we'll just follow their trail. There - how does that sound?"

"You did just fine, Gisel. I'm so glad you are coming with me."
