"Come out of there now! Bring whatever you have mined. Now!"
"Gosh, that guy's cranky. I don't know how he expects us to carry this stuff. He didn't even give us a bucket, or anything."
"Just put it in your shirt, like this. We can carry out the silver by laying on our backs and scuffling under the entrance to the cave. See? Like this."
"Good. You brought more than I thought was in there. How much is left in that cave?"
"Don't know."
"What did you say? What? You dare to mumble at Ranko?"
"I said, I don't know how much is left because we don't have any light to see anything. We only dug out the stuff that felt smoother than the rocks."
"I see. We'll send you back with a lantern. Go back now - we need everything out of there tonight."
"Ugh. It's getting harder and harder to squeeze through that cave entrance. Oh, no! Look over there - isn't that a skeleton?"
"Yeah, it is one of those alright."
"Hey Mykk. Look, there's a Ghazer by the skeleton. Do you suppose it still works?"
"How long does it take for a skeleton to become a skeleton? Ten years? Five years? One year? I don't know. Why don't you just try the Ghazer and then you'll know if it works."
"Yikes! It still works. Now what do we do?"
"First, we have to be quiet. I don't think anyone outside saw the flash. The cave entrance is too low. We'll mine a bit, wait until they tell us to come out, and then we'll slide out - with the Ghazer blazing!"
To be continued.
