What happened so far? After the wonderful party with the Fairy Community, Alxx and Mykk were captured by the evil Molerxx. Alia and her Regulators, along with DMan have launched a search for them.
"Bring the two humans forward to the cave under the waterfall. We need some small form to climb into the cave and bring out the ore. Get down there now!"
"Ican't get through. It's too small and narrow. I might get stuck."
Whips crashed all around them. One lash flicked over Alexx's heel. He screamed in pain and his friend, Mykk tried to help him, but was held back by Grunge.
"So, you want some of the same, do you? Well, try this one on for size."
Whips cracked again and Mykk felt the breeze as the lash came dangerously close to his face.
"No talking. Get down with the other human and climb inside that cave - now!"
The boys were so scared, they were shaking. What was beyond the dark cave? Some kind of special silver to mine? Maybe a wild animal. Anything would be better than getting hit with that terrible whip. So they ventured into the cave on their hands and knees.
"Stay close to me, Mykk. The one thing we don'tw ant to do is get separated."
"I'm staying as close as I can, don't worry. I can't understand people like those guys. Why do they have to be so mean?"
"Maybe that's the only way they know. Maybe nobody has ever loved them enough to tell them what is right and wrong.
------------
"Now, my dear Arianna, please come in and tell me what is your problem."
"Oh, Gari, it isnot too much of a problem, but my father worries so much about me, because sometimes it becomes hard for me to breathe. I panic when I can't breathe and that makes it worse. Soemtimes, I cry for no reason at all. I'm really not sad, my eyes just do it by themselves."
"I see. Well, I hope I can help you. How long have you lived with horses?"
"Oh, as long as I can remember. My father is a breeder and there are lots of horses around our home all the time."
"I think you will have to stay away from straw for a little while, Arianna. I suspect you have an allergy to straw dust, which is not uncommon, but rarely seen. The way you describe how you feel tells me you do not have a life-threatening problem, but it could be, so an allergy must be treated, or it could lead to more serious things."
"Ive never heard of such a thing. No wonder I always feel worse when I groom my pony, or when I muster the stalls. I had a bad spell awhile ago while I was working onthe barn and I had to stay in bed for two days!"
To be continued.
